Risk Resiliency and Prevention

After completing the ideology inventory I learned a few things I guess I didn’t realize. i most aligned with risk resiliency and prevention when before I would think I was more on the positive youth development side. It made more sense to me after really learning what it was about on why that was the outcome. I do think that the youth need to be educated in how to handle certain things in school and the community.

As much as it hurts to say sometimes the truth hurts and we need to show these teens and young people the repercussions of what leading down the wrong path will look like.  So educating them on these important issues that they’ll face in their lifetime should be shown to them. For example, if you have this youth who is getting in trouble and possible gang involvement you can have him sit in on some sort of a gang prevention program.
